profile

Diogo Roque Vieira Alexandre

That’s my full name. It is a long name in Germany, where I am now living. However, it has a common length in Portugal, where I come from!

  • Lisboa (Portugal) is a great city! It is probably one of the nicest cities in Europe. It is full of live, culture, good and affordable food, nice people, lays by the river and the sea. It was in Lisboa that I was born, studied and worked for the first years.

  • I have studied Information Systems and Computer Engineering in Instituto Superior Técnico da Universidade de Lisboa. Web development, user-centred design, usability and information systems engineering became a passion. Linux, web technologies, Java, Android and Eclipse are my favourite tools.

  • Following my sister steps, I went adventurous abroad to travel more and live a different routine. An unexpected opportunity came from Germany. I am currently still living a new experience and enjoying it. First in Darmstadt and now in Mainz I feel at home… although I am always ready for a little trip!

  • Enjoy the best in life! I take great pleasure in commuting every day by bicycle, travelling, having a beer with friends or even strangers, swimming, enjoying a Portuguese red wine during dinner, listening to music, dancing and hanging out. Far from home, I especially appreciate spending time with my family and good friends!

What I have developed an interest in...
